Stacey Williams

Stacey joined Scott Petrie LLP’s litigation group as an associate in May 2024. Her practice is dedicated to commercial litigation, construction litigation, and professional negligence defence. In addition to being appointed preferred counsel status by LawPRO, Stacey assists individuals and businesses in resolving a wide range of legal issues and business-related disputes through litigation or alternative dispute resolution. She takes great pride in her ability to assess files from multiple perspectives and is passionate about advocating and developing creative strategies to advance her clients’ best interests both in and out of court.

Prior to joining Scott Petrie LLP, Stacey practiced both plaintiff and insurance defence litigation. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2019. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Stacey studied law internationally in the United States and Japan. In 2016, she obtained a B.A. (Honours, with distinction) in criminology from King’s University College at Western University, where she was the recipient of the four-year Gerald Killan Regis Entrance Scholarship for having the highest admissions average.

When not practicing law, Stacey enjoys learning new languages as a hobby, a way to connect with different cultures and to give back to the community through language exchange. In 2018, Stacey obtained her Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.

Stacey is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, Middlesex Law Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
