About Samantha

Samantha is an associate with Scott Petrie’s litigation group. She practices in the areas of commercial litigation, construction litigation, and professional negligence defence.

Samantha obtained her law degree from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. During law school, Samantha worked as a caseworker at Lakehead’s Community Legal Services representing clients on matters ranging from landlord and tenant issues to criminal matters. She volunteered with numerous groups and organizations including Level’s Indigenous Youth Outreach Program (“IYOP”) and Pro Bono Students Canada. She also co-founded Lakehead’s Human Rights Law and Social Justice Group. Samantha continues to volunteer with IYOP today.

For her final semester of law school, Samantha returned to London to complete her four-month practice placement in class actions law. Before joining Scott Petrie as an associate, Samantha articled at a full-service law firm in London during which time she gained experience in a wide variety of practice areas including commercial litigation, professional negligence defence, and plaintiff personal injury.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, horseback riding, playing squash, and downhill skiing.
