Glenn obtained his law degree (with distinction) from the University of Western Ontario in 2007 and was called to the bar in June of 2008. While at Western, Glenn was the recipient of the Stikeman Elliot/Carswell National Tax Scholarship, the Ted Wohl Student Writing Prize and the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize for academic excellence.
Glenn joined Scott Petrie LLP as a partner in January of 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Glenn practiced in the Toronto office of the international law firm of Norton Rose Canada LLP. He has experience in all areas of corporate/commercial law with an emphasis on tax planning, purchases and sales of businesses, business succession planning, commercial financing and corporate reorganizations. Glenn also advises clients in the areas of personal tax planning, wills, trusts and estates.
Prior to practicing law, Glenn was heavily involved in all aspects of his family’s international manufacturing business including research and development, distribution, marketing and the licensing/management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio. Through that experience and the successful operation of two small businesses of his own, Glenn has developed a particular interest in the legal issues facing small businesses and their owners. In addition, Glenn enjoys working closely with the agricultural community, especially with respect to structuring farm operations and intergenerational farm transfers.
Born and raised in the London region, Glenn now lives with his wife and two daughters in the Masonville area.
