All roads lead home. After studying Political Science at the University of Ottawa and obtaining his JD from Queen’s University in Kingston, Jacob returned to his hometown – the City of London. He joined Scott Petrie LLP as an associate in June 2024 after completing his articles at a London-based full-service firm. Jacob’s practice includes commercial litigation, construction litigation, and professional negligence defence. Alongside being appointed preferred counsel by LawPRO, Jacob has represented both businesses and individuals in a broad range of legal disputes.

Prior to law school, Jacob worked as an Intelligence Analyst at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission investigating fraud perpetuated through Canada’s telecommunication services. While studying at Queen’s, he sharpened his advocacy skills by taking part in the National Labour Arbitration Competition and as a Student Caseworker at the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic.

Outside of the office, Jacob devotes his time to playing various sports (poorly) and grand strategy games (quite well).

Jacob is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, Middlesex Law Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
